While AI offers remarkable potential, there’s one area where it still faces challenges: inclusivity. AI systems often rely on data that may not accurately <\/strong>represent<\/strong> the world’s diverse population<\/strong>. This can lead to systems biased against certain groups of people, such as people with disabilities, minorities and marginalized populations.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

For example, Amazon experimented with the use of AI to automate its recruitment processes. The aim of the program was to examine candidates’ <\/span>resumes<\/span> and assign ratings ranging from one to five stars, <\/span>in order to<\/span> simplify profile <\/span>selection<\/span>. However, the computer model used by the company was based on resumes received over the last ten years. This approach had an unintended effect, given that the data used primarily came <\/span>mainly from<\/span> male applicants. The AI was therefore trained to prefer male profiles, putting female candidates at a disadvantage. This case is just one of the examples that illustrate<\/span>s<\/span> a major problem when using AI: the bias of the training data, which can lead to biased results. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

However, addressing bias and ensuring inclusivity <\/strong><\/span>remains<\/span> a crucial challenge for AI<\/span><\/strong>, but it is not the only one<\/strong>. <\/span>With<\/span> many questions <\/span>\/ limitations <\/span>like inclusivity, <\/span>copyright<\/span> and <\/span><\/span>credibility and reliability of information sources<\/span>, AI<\/span><\/span> may not be perfect today, but <\/span><\/span>potential<\/span> of this evolving technology feature is promising.<\/span> As we <\/span>witness<\/span> its evolution, one thing is certain: the future of AI in design is brimming with exciting possibilities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
