Evolve and extend the current Area 2 Farms brand identity to resonate with both existing and current audiences: consumers, investors, franchise partners, farmers, real estate collaborators and jobseekers.

/ Background

Driven by their guiding mantra, “Move the farm, not the food,” Area 2 Farms envisions local farms as an essential part of the urban infrastructure. By embedding advanced vertical farming technology into city landscapes, they empower local farmers to deliver fresh, nutritious food directly to their communities.

To support this mission, Area 2 Farms engaged CBA to enhance their current identity, developing cohesive verbal and visual systems that would fully embody their innovative approach and community impact

/ Strategic foundations

CBA collaborated with Area 2 Farms to refine their brand foundations, articulating a compelling, synthesized story that would shape the creative development. The refreshed brand voice and visual identity aim to deepen the connection between people, their food, and the farmers who grow it. By disrupting the traditional food supply chain, Area 2 Farms promotes healthier, more sustainable eating habits and invigorates local food systems. This innovative approach creates a ripple effect, fostering community resilience and catalyzing positive change.

Through thoughtful exploration and alignment, a warmer, more passionate, and authentically expressive visual identity was crafted for Area 2 Farms.

The logo embodies a message of change and revolution, yet with an inviting and approachable tone. Each letter in the logo is unique, interacting with the others in a way that visually captures individuality, integration, and the collaborative impact we have within our communities. The selected color and font palettes, inspired by natural and organic hues, conveys a vibrant yet grounded brand personality, emphasizing humanity and warmth. Finally, a distinctive imagery style add fun and wit to our graphic compositions, bringing focus to the incredible produce and the revolutionary farmers within our urban cityscapes.

/ Brand Guidelines

Together, these elements form a cohesive brand system with ample flexibility to adapt across diverse applications, from in-bag messaging and social media to website design, posters, and banners. The brand guidelines were designed to be highly detailed and descriptive, enabling internal designers to fully understand the system and confidently create their own graphic pieces while maintaining brand consistency.
