In response to the growing demand for protein-rich snacks and concerns about the environmental impact of traditional meat jerky, our clients at Agro pioneered a solution: Power Jerky. This innovative product offers high protein with lower salt levels, appealing to health-conscious and eco-conscious consumers alike. To support its development, a robust marketing strategy was essential. It needed to convey authority and masculinity, targeting the core protein market while elevating the perceived value of plant-based products.
As a startup, Agro tasked us with developing a brand with focused parameters in a limited timeframe. We embraced the Sprint Mode™ process, streamlining procedures for rapid ideation. Collaborating closely with our clients, we condensed design cycles, prioritizing input and feedback. This efficient approach allowed for swift progress, culminating in the creation of a cohesive brand identity and packaging. Using Mural, CBA collaborated with the client identifying strategic design territories. Each of the concepts is based on a strong idea that supports the proposition of plant-based protein richness.
A broad range of disruptive designs were created to signify this new proposition in the jerky category. Each presenting a unique style geared towards a younger audience looking for innovative snacking options and addressing the objective to break from the usual cues used in the existing market.
The final result is a constructivist-inspired approach. A new character was created named “Jack,” the farmer, forging a path towards a healthier future. The graphics exude optimism and strength, performing well on ecommerce and social. Our close collaboration has created a brand that resonates with the product’s ethos and founders. Designed for versatility, they perform well across all communication platforms, reinforcing Power Jerky’s compelling story.
